As the oldest municipality in South Tyrol, San Candido looks back on a long history. In 2019 the village in the holiday region 3 Zinnen in the Dolomites celebrated the 1250th year of its foundation by the Bavarian Duke Tassilo III. But already about 2000 years ago the Romans had settled here and built a road station. For 700 years the municipality in the Alta Pusteria Valley has been holding markets. Today San Candido lies at the intersection of two cultures and presents itself with all the merits of a small town. Our 4-star hotel is located in the traffic-free town centre. The way to the ski runs, cross-country trails, hiking and cycling paths is no further than the way to the cathedral. How can all this not worth a holiday in San Candido in the Dolomites?
